Colombian regulators have ordered Google to specifically ask each user if the search giant can use their personal data which is being captured without authorisation. The Superintendency of Industry and Commerce warned Google that non-compliance could lead to investigations, sanctions and fines equivalent to 1.76 billion pesos (~₹4.5cr). Reuters reported Google saying that it would evaluate the order once it was informed of it by the regulators.
