Coffee could fight Parkinsons and a form of Dementia, according to a study conducted by the Rutgers University. Two compounds, EHT and caffeine, prevent the accumulation of a toxic protein in the brains of mice. This protein, known as alpha-synuclein (sinuclyn), is responsible for the two diseases in humans. Scientists now hope that EHT and Caffeine could be combined into a drug to fight both parkinsons and dementia with lewy bodies (DLB).
