Coal scam case: ex-coal secretary HC Gupta, 4 others convicted

The Delhi High Court on Friday convicted ex-coal secretary HC Gupta and 4 others of corruption charges and criminal conspiracy linked to the coal block allocation case in West Bengal. Gupta and 4 others have been charged for conspiring with Vikash Metal and Power Limited to get the Moira and Madhujore coal blocks with the support of coal ministry officials by bypassing procedures.
