The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has asked five states including Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand to stop selling Johnson & Johnson's baby shampoo after the product was tested positive for formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is a colorless, strong-smelling gas used in making building materials and as an industrial disinfectant. ANI reports that the Drug Control Officer of Rajasthan has also been ordered to share J&J talcum powder's test report with them at the earliest.
