Chelsea beat Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 in their first game of the new Premier League season as Frank Lampard's men overcame a tough defence on the road to collect 3 points. After Jorginho opened the scoring from the spot for Chelsea, Brighton equalised in the 2nd half. But a 10-min passage of play made the difference for The Blues as they scored twice to take an unbeatable 3-1 lead. Reece James and Kurt Zouma scored a goal each which saw the visitors seal 3 points on the night. While Frank Lampard's men looked undercooked on Monday night, a clash with Premier League champions Liverpool on Sunday will be the first biggest test for Chelsea's newly assembled team.
