For the first time in the history of the centuries-old Aishbagh Ramlila in Lucknow, 50-60 local artists are performing as opposed to the 300 artists that perform every year.
The historic Ramleela is being held at the Sriram Bhavan instead of Maidan in the presence of only 50 members of the Shri Ramleela Samiti, Aishbagh. Others get to enjoy it from their homes as the committee is live streaming the show online.
The performing artists shared that while they miss having a live audience to perform to, their inner spirit and enthusiasm remains the same.
The Ramleela fair too is not being held this year.
