A video purportedly showing a sub-divisional magistrate in Haryana's Karnal asking policemen to hit protesting farmers who try crossing police barricades as surfaced on social media.
In the video, SDM Ayush Sinha can be heard telling the cops that the protesting farmers should not be allowed to cross the police barricades at any cost. He can be heard asking the policemen to hit the farmers on their heads.
Around 10 people were injured on Saturday as police lathicharged a group of farmers disrupting traffic movement on a highway while heading towards Karnal to protest against a BJP meeting.
Haryana ADGP said that farmers resorted to stone pelting when police tried to stop the group from marching towards Karnala
The state police drew severe criticism for the action against the farmers, and several roads and highways, including toll plazas, were blockaded at different places in protest.
