Caste-based eligibility for President's Bodyguard: Court questions Centre

The Delhi High Court has asked the Centre and the Army Chief to respond, after a petition alleged that only three castes were being considered for recruitment to the President's Bodyguard. A plea by Haryana resident Gaurav Yadav said only Jats, Rajputs and Jat Sikhs were being considered for the post. He appealed to the court to quash the recruitment policy based on caste and region.
