CarDekho: Tata Motors debuts Altroz hatchback at Geneva Motor Show

The much-awaited production version of Tata’s 45X concept has finally made its public debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Based on the newly developed ALFA ARC platform, the Tata Altroz will receive a 1.2-litre turbocharged, 3-cylinder petrol engine from the Nexon in a slightly detuned state.The latest Tata hatchback packs cabin bits similar to the Harrier as well as the Nexon. Equipment levels will be high with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, analog with digital instrument cluster and cruise control. Expected to be launched in India by mid-2019, the Altroz will rival the Hyundai Elite i20 and Maruti Baleno in the premium hatchback segment.
