The California Air Resources Board and the Perennial Farming Initiative together have launched a new program to help combat issues of climate change. As part of the 'Restore California Renewable Restaurant program', restaurants in the United States may levy a 'climate change' subcharge and the extra money will support sustainable farming practices. The subcharge is voluntary for customers and restaurants.
