Zomato, the leading food delivery platform, has launched a new feature today, catering specifically to the needs of vegetarian consumers. CEO Deepinder Goyal unveiled the ‘Pure Veg Mode’ and introduced a dedicated ‘Pure Veg Fleet’ to ensure the highest standards of vegetarian food delivery.

The announcement came directly from Goyal himself, who took to social media to share the news. Through a series of tweets, he revealed that the Pure Veg Mode will exclusively showcase restaurants serving 100% vegetarian fare.

This move follows extensive feedback from the vegetarian community, highlighting their desire for a more tailored dining experience.

In addition to curating vegetarian-only options, orders placed through Pure Veg Mode will be handled by Zomato’s newly formed Pure Veg Fleet.

These delivery personnel will utilize distinct green delivery boxes to maintain the integrity of vegetarian meals from kitchen to doorstep.

Goyal’s personal involvement in the launch didn’t stop at announcements. He was seen actively participating in the delivery process, personally handing over orders to customers.

Alongside Zomato's food delivery CEO Rakesh Ranjan, Goyal sported the signature green jacket worn by members of the Pure Veg Fleet, emphasizing his commitment to this new initiative.
