''We are 100% committed to India," says Pfizer's Managing Director, Meenakshi Nevatia. In a conversation with the media in Delhi, the Pfizer MD shared details of Pfizer's operations in India, highlighting the company's 'Make in India' push.

Nevatia said, "Our expansion (in India) takes different forms, starting with R&D, where we are continuously expanding. We have almost about 1,500 people in Chennai, largely in our R&D organisation, including one centre at the IIT Madras Research Park, where we are just expanding our capacity.

"Talking about Pfizer's manufacturing push in India, the company's MD added, "Almost 70% of what we sell in India, we make in India. Either through our own plant in Goa or through contract partners, with almost 18 partners around the country. We also have an export-oriented unit for sterile injectables."
