No salary this month for over two lakh UP government employees!

The Uttar Pradesh government has finally cracked the whip.

After multiple warnings to employee and extending deadlines to disclose their assets, the state has now followed through on its threat.

Salaries have been withheld for 2.44 lakh government employees who failed to declare their movable and immovable properties by August 31, 2024.

Among those who didn’t comply with the asset disclosure guidelines, the majority are from the education and revenue departments.

The Samajwadi Party, the state's leading opposition, has criticised this move.
