In an yet another twist to the ongoing drama at OpenAI, Sam Altman is returning as the CEO to the company. The ChatGPT maker in a tweet has revealed that a initial board with Bret Taylor (Chair), Larry Summers, and Adam D'Angelo as members has reached an agreement in principle for Sam Altman to return to OpenAI as CEO
The tweet further mentiones that details on the collaboration is still being figured out.
Responding to the Board's decision to reinstate him, Sam Altman posted in X (formerly Twitter) that he is looking forward to returning to OpenAI with the new board and Microsoft Chief Satya Nadella's support.

He also added that his decision of joining Microsoft on Sunday deemed fit for him and the team at that point of time.
The board members led by OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever on Friday dismissed Altman and stripped him of his director role, saying “he was not consistently candid in his communications with the board.” The board went on to hire former Twitch CEO Emmett Shear to replace Sam Altman
