Sam Altman to join Microsoft's AI research team

Sam Altman hired: Ousted CEO of OpenAI Sam Altman has now found a new job with a leading tech giant. Sam Altman along with other colleagues will be joining Microsoft  to lead a new advanced AI research team.

Microsoft CEO and Chairman who pushed for reinstating Altman in OpenAI posted in X (formerly Twitter) that Microsoft will move quickly to provide the team with the resources needed for their success.

Nadella also mentioned that Microsoft continues to remain committed to its partnership with OpenAI. He further extended welcome to OpenAI board appointed CEO Emmett Shear and said that Microsoft is looking forward to getting to know Emmett Shear and OpenAI's new leadership team and working with them.

About making Sam Altman the CEO of the new AI reserach team, Nadella said that this sets a new pace for innovation. 

Elon Musk's Post

Tesla CEO Elon Musk also posted in X on the ongoing drama that has taken the tech world by storm. In the post Musk said, the public should be made aware of why the board took such a drastic step, given the risk and power of Advanced AI.

He further added that OpenAI is not publicly traded and all the money in the world won't matter if AI goes wrong
