PhysicsWallah may lay off up to 120 employees

PhysicsWallah Layoffs 2023: Physics Wallah, an ed-tech firm, is reportedly considering laying off around 70 to 120 employees due to performance evaluations. This comprises less than 0.8% of its total workforce, which currently stands at approximately 12,000 employees.

The company emphasized its routine practice of assessing performance through cycles and stated that the focus remains on maintaining a dynamic and high-performing team. PW's Chief Human Resources Officer, Satish Khengre, mentioned plans to recruit an additional 1,000 employees in the coming six months.

This move aligns with similar actions taken by other edtech giants like BYJU'S and Unacademy in the past.
