After work from home, a new mode that allows people to work from the car, is here. The work from car mode marks another step in remote collaboration.

Microsoft is gearing up to launch Teams, its video conferencing tool, on Android Auto in the coming month, following the initial announcement at Google I/O 2023. This integration seamlessly links Android phones with a car's infotainment system, streamlining meeting access, enabling quick calls, and displaying recent calls.

Details from the Microsoft 365 roadmap highlight the upcoming Teams on Android Auto features, including calendar-based meeting access, speed dial calls, and recent call display on Android phones. However, the inclusion of messaging features and other collaborative functionalities on this platform remains uncertain, pending clarification from Microsoft.

In addition to this development, Microsoft introduces a new Copilot key on keyboards for Windows PCs. This key, as stated by Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft's Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Consumers, will become an integral part of the PC keyboard, activating the Copilot in Windows feature for daily use.

As Microsoft prepares for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Copilot key is expected to feature on various Windows 11 PCs from ecosystem partners. Anticipated for release from late February to Spring, these updates will extend to upcoming Surface devices as well.
