Back in the 80s, he started his Mumbai trading business with just 5,000 rupees that he borrowed from a relative.
That business kept growing, but the big change happened at a German trade show in 2007.
One look at solar technology left him spellbound and he decided to enter the renewable energy space.
Fast forward to today - his company Waree Energies had a stellar stock market debut, and his Waree Group is now a renewable energy powerhouse in India.
And with that, Hitesh Chimanlal Doshi is one of the richest persons in India.
