Amazon announced that its Halo subsidiary, which offers sleep and wellness trackers, is closing. The IT giant has made this choice as it begins broader cutbacks.

The business has announced that it would stop providing support for Halo services as of July 31 and will completely reimburse any purchases of Halo hardware made in the previous 12 months.

Amazon claims to have informed affected US and Canadian employees in a blog post. How many workers will be impacted by the Halo division's shutdown is not stated in the post.

In 2020, the first Halo band was released, marking the beginning of the Halo division.
