GST collections in May stood at ₹1.57 lakh crore, a 12% year on year increase

Goods and Services Tax collections stood at ₹1.57 lakh crore for the month of May, which is 12% higher that the same period last year.  

This is the 14th month in a row that GST revenues have crossed ₹1.4 lakh crore. Revenue from import of goods was 12% higher year on year; while domestic transactions (including import of services) revenue was 11% higher year on year. 

Of the total ₹1,57,090 crore, Central GST is ₹28,411 crore while State GST is ₹35,828 crore, Integrated GST is ₹81,363 crore and cess is ₹11,489 crore
