Imagine passing down a 213 billion dollar empire to the next generation. Well, Gautam Adani, at 62, plans to do just that by the early 2030s, entrusting his sons and nephews with the future of the Adani Group.

For the first time, Adani publicly shared his succession plans with Bloomberg, emphasizing a well-orchestrated transition for lasting business sustainability.

‘Succession is crucial for business sustainability,’ Adani asserted, preferring an organic, gradual, and systematic transition.

Upon his retirement, Adani's four heirs—sons Karan and Jeet, and their cousins Pranav and Sagar—will inherit equal shares of the family trust. The Adani Group, spanning sectors from infrastructure to solar energy, is set for ambitious expansion.

And Gautam Adani is confident his heirs are up to the task. Talking about them, the Adani Group Chairman said, ‘I'm happy they're hungry for growth, which is rare in the second generation. They must work together to build a legacy.’
