With a $137.4 billion fortune, Gautam Adani has overtaken LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault and now trails just tech titans Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos of the US in the ranking.
Adani, a college dropout who first tried his luck as a diamond trader before turning to coal, has added $60.9 billion to his fortune in 2022 alone, five times more than anyone else.
According to reports, what he has gained this year is more than Mark Zukerberg's networth that is $59.4 billion.
With a jump of $60 billion in 8 months, Adani's networth has gone up by $7.5 billion a month or $250 million a day. Now that's a good pay for a day's work.
As per Bloomberg Billonaires' Index, Adani's net worth is bigger that the net worth of Azim Premji, Shiv Nadar, Radhakishan Damani, Uday Kotak, Dilip Shanghvi, Savitri Jindal and Cyrus Ponnawalla put together.
