Delhi's per capita income 2.5 times higher than national average: Finance Minister Atishi

The per capita income in Delhi surged to ₹4.62 lakh in the fiscal year 2024, marking a significant rise from ₹2.47 lakh recorded in 2014. The per capita income in the capital also stands at an impressive 2.5 times higher than the national average, Delhi finance minister Atishi said.

Finance Minister Atishi presented the budget for the financial year 2024-2025 today in the Budget Session of the Delhi Assembly, which began on February 15 and has been extended until the first week of March. It is the 10th annual budget presented by the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi.

Atishi also stated that Delhi's gross state domestic product increased from 4.95 lakh crore in 2014 to 11.08 lakh crore in 2024

Delhi FM presented a total budget of ₹76,000 crore, allocating ₹16,396 cr for education and said that education has been the priority of the AAP government.
