Diwali 2023: Companies often shower employees with gifts and bonuses during Diwali. This year a tea estate owner in Tamil Nadu has gone beyond expectations, surprising his employees with Royal Enfield bikes.

Generous Gifts

P Sivakumar who owns a sprawling 190-acre tea estate, has a history of generous gifts to his employees during Diwali. Earlier, he has gifted, household appliances and cash bonuses to his employees. However, this year in an unexpected gesture, he gifted his employees bikes valued at over Rs 2 lakh each.

As per News18, out of the 627 employees who are working in the estate, Sivakumar selected 15 employees including his manager, supervisor, storekeeper, cashier, field staff, and drivers, as recipients of the Royal Enfield motorcycles.

The video of Sivakumar going on a ride with his employees has also gone viral. One of the employees told PTI that the gifts were unexpected.

"We were never expecting this type of gift. He [the owner] gifted around 15 Royal Enfield bikes, whichever we preferred, and it is something that I believe nobody will get, but we got it. We are blessed by his work and the teamwork which we have done", an employee told PTI.

Similarly, a pharmaceutical company owner in Haryana gifted brand-new Tata Punch cars to employees who have been with him since he founded the company a few years ago.
