Budget 2024: Govt to help in providing houses to middle class

Budget 2024: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Budget presentation announced that the government will help in providing houses to middle class. 

She mentioned that eligible citizens will be identified to whom the benefit will be provided. As per Sitharaman, the eligible citizens include middle class living in rented or slums or unauthorized colonies. 

The government will extend help in buying and building the houses for this section of people. 

The government in 2015, also launched affordable housing scheme with the tagline 'Housing for All'. Through this scheme, the government has built concrete houses for approximately 40 million impoverished households.
