Bitcoin surges past $45,000 to the highest level since January 2022

Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurency by market cap, is on a roll as it surged to the levels last seen at the starting of 2022.

Bitcoin rose above $47,700 on March 28, the highest level since January 2, 2022. The crypto has gained 42% from the lows it made this year at $33,000. 

Crypto market value jumped close to 5% on Monday to $2.2 trillion.

Bitcoin has been largely rangebound this year amid tensions between Russia and Ukraine and also impacted by the central banks' goodbye to their easy money policy.

In the last 7 days, other cryptos like Ethereum is up 14%, Cardano 33%, Solana 20%, Dogecoin 25%, Shiba Inu 14%, Terra 6%.
