In a revolutionising move, Bajaj Auto is set to launch the world's first ever CNG powered motorcycle on July 5. The homegrown manufacturer has also released new teasers of the upcoming motorcycles. The motorcycle's test mules have also been spotted a few times while it was being tested on Indian roads.

Expected Price

The new CNG price can be expected to be priced between Rs 85,000 and Rs 90,000. This will be a commuter motorcycle and would be aimed towards customers who are looking for more fuel efficiency.

Motorcycle specification

The motorcycle is expected to be a 100 cc to 125 cc motorcycle. Times of India earlier reported that the test mules closely resemble standard commuter motorcycles, featuring practical elements such as halogen turn indicators, telescopic forks and a monoshock unit for suspension. The bike also features multi-spoke alloy wheels, a long single-piece seat, and a combination of disc and drum brakes.

The latest teaser released by Bajaj Auto reveals that the motorcycle will have a toggle button to switch from petrol to CNG and vice versa.

Motorcycle name

The name of the CNG bike is not confirmed by the manufacturer, however they have filed patents for the nameplates. As per Hindustan Times Auto, the internal name for the CNG bike is Bruzer and once it goes on sale it would be called Freedom 125.

Running cost

As per Hindustan Times Auto, Bajaj foresees that the CNG motorcycle will cut operating expenses in half as compared to petrol-only motorcycles in the same category. The report further added that the company is targeting the commuter market with the intention to release a range of CNG motorcycles in the future.
