The last Bundesliga season may have been completed behind closed doors due to the fear of Covid-19, but things will get a little normal in the new season. The organisers have decided to allow home fans back in the stadiums when the new season kicks off with champions Bayern Munich hosting Schalke on Friday. The German Football League will see 20% capacity allowed in, with no away fans present, no alcohol allowed and a ban on standing. However, if a 7-day infection rate in a home city is above 35 per 100,000, a game would be played in empty stadiums. Bundesliga became the first major football league to return amid the pandemic when it resumed on May 16 last season.
