West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday alleged that the BJP has contributed to the spike in coronavirus cases in the state by bringing “outsiders” for campaigning during elections. Assembly elections are being conducted in the state and four of the eight voting phases are over. Both the ruling TMC and strong challenger BJP have been campaigning extensive over the past few weeks. The state had managed to get hold of the COVID situation but the BJP has now complicated it, Banerjee was quoted as saying by PTI.
