Brazil will now host the Copa America football championship for the second consecutive time after Colombia and Argentina were stripped of hosting rights for the tournament. South American football confederation announced the decision on Monday hours after it ruled out Argentina as Covid-19 cases rise in the country. Brazil is also struggling with its covid-19 spread as more than 460,000 people have died due to the pandemic with analysts expecting another wave to hit the country by late June. Most hospitals in Brazil are working with 80% of their intensive-care unit occupied by victims of the virus.
