It was a battle of the bowlers in Dubai as King XI Punjab beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 12 runs in low scoring match to register their 4th win in a row. The combined efforts of Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma and Jason Holder, who took 2 wickets each, restricted Punjab to just 126/7 with captain KL Rahul being their highest scorer with 27 runs. Till the 18th over of the 2nd innings the match was slightly tilted in Hyderabad's favour inspite of them losing 3 wickets in back to back overs right after the powerplay ended as Vijay Shankar and Manish Pandey steadied the chase. But after the duo got out, the Sunrisers completely messed up their winning chances, losing 5 wickets in the last 2 overs and ended up being bowled out for 114 runs. Chris Jordan and Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets each for Punjab. KXIP are now 5th on the table with 10 points and SRH 6th with 8 points.
