Blue and red make purple, but also make for a stunning photograph of Mars!
US space agency NASA has released a photo of the Blue Dunes on the Red Planet. The dunes surround Mars' northern polar cap and were created by gusts of wind.
According to the Mars Odyssey orbiter, which captured the image, the blue areas of Mars have cooler temperatures.
