The ruling NDA in Bihar on Tuesday announced its seat-sharing formula for the assembly elections under which JD(U) will contest on 122 seats and BJP 121 out of a total of 243 seats.

At a joint press conference of top leadership of the JD (U) and the BJP it was declared that the two partners have clinched a deal where both will have an almost equal share of the pie.

Out of its share of 122 seats the JD(U) will be allotting 7 to ex-Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha. New ally Vikassheel Insaan Party, who recently quit the Congress-RJD grand alliance, will get a few seats from BJP's share of 121 seats.
