Bihar polls: PM lauds high voter turnout despite Covid crisis

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing an election rally in Bihar’s Forbesganj lauded people for coming out to vote during coronavirus crisis. The Prime Minister said Bihar has set an example across the world with their ‘devotion to democracy’. He also applauded the election commission and security forces for ensuring a safe and smooth conduct of election. He expressed confidence on NDA’s return to power in the state as the ‘current government ensured basic facilities to all’. His remarks came hours after the start of second phase of the three-phased Bihar assembly elections. PM Modi will wrap up his campaigning in the state with Tuesday’s rallies at Forbesganj in Seemanchal and Saharsa in Kosi.
