The Biden government blamed China for the cyber attack on the Microsoft Exchange email server software earlier this year. The US president got backing from NATO allies in calling out China's "malicious cyber activities."

Microsoft Exchange server attack became public in March and affected around 30,000 American organizations. Microsoft identified the group behind the hack as a relatively unknown Chinese espionage network dubbed Hafnium.
