After Microsoft's $7.5 billion acquisition of videogame publisher Bethesda Softworks, a spate of Bethesda games were added to the Xbox Game Pass, making them available to subscribers across Xbox and PC. Microsoft has now announced that a few of these games will receive an FPS Boost patch, making them playable at 60fps on the Xbox Series S and Series X consoles. The games currently receiving this boost are The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Prey, and Dishonored: Definitive Edition. Microsoft has not yet announced a timeline for the release of this patch, but many speculate that it could arrive along with the next wave of Xbox Series S and Series X updates, along with the feature to toggle FPS Boost and HDR functions per-game.
