Afghanistan's resistance forces claim to have killed over 600 Taliban fighters on Saturday in the ongoing battle for Panjshir, the only province of Afghanistan that is not under Taliban control.
Fahim Dashty, the spokesperson of the anti-Taliban resistance forces has said that over 1,000 Talibs were trapped due to roadblocks and several others were fleeing the valley.

The Taliban on the other hand claim to have made significant advances into Panjshir and say they have reached Bazarak, the capital and stormed the provincial governor’s office. They claim they have captured four out of the province's 7 districts.
On Saturday, the militant group claimed that it had taken full control of Panjshir and fired celebratory shots in the air in Kabul which led to the death of 17 people.
