Badminton continues to bear the brunt of Covid-19 as the Badminton Association of India on Monday announced that India Open Super 500 tournament has been postponed due to surge in Covid-19 cases.

It was supposed to be one of the last 3 events in the Olympic qualification cycle, and was scheduled to be held from May 11 to 16 at the KD Jadhav Stadium in New Delhi behind closed door.

Though many big names were part of the initial entry list, many including Carolina Marin had already withdrawn from the tournament.
