India reported its lowest daily Covid-19 cases in over four months as it recorded 30,093 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry dashboard on Tuesday morning. With this, the country’s total caseload rose to over 3.11 crores.
The last time India's Covid-19 tally was below the 30,000 mark was on March 16 when the country saw 28,903 fresh cases.
As many as 374 fatalities were reported in the same period. This is also the lowest death count India has seen after over three months. The death toll now stands at 4,14,482 since the start of the pandemic.

With 45,254 fresh recoveries, the recovery rate now stands at 97.32 per cent.
The active cases witnessed a sharp drop of 15,535 from Monday’s figures and now stand at 406,130, constituting 1.35 per cent of the overall caseload.
Further, over 41.18 crore vaccine doses have been administered since the nationwide vaccination drive began earlier this year.
