A 19-year-old girl in Assam's Tezpur town was denied permission to sit for an entrance exam for wearing shorts.
Humiliated by this behaviour of the authorities, Jublee called her father, who tried to buy a pair of pants for her, but, the authorities wrapped a curtain around her legs as it was getting late and then she was made to sit for the test.
According to Jublee, there was no problem when she entered the examination premises, however, the invigilator asked her to not enter the exam hall for wearing shorts.
Jublee, along with her father travelled from their hometown Biswanath Chariali to Tezpur, 70 km away.
