How can the govt ensure that correct information about Covid-19 and its treatment is being disseminated? How can we handle the misinformation pandemic? On today's episode of Ask The Doctor, Giridhara R Babu, Professor, Head-Lifecourse Epidemiology, PHFI (Public Health Foundation of India) explains why India needs to have a systematic strategy to communicate crucial information about the pandemic. He warns patients and clinicians against using unproven therapies to treat the infection, by overprescribing drug cocktails. He added, that teh govt needs to tackle the source of rumour campaigns, and use innovative strategies to reach more and more people.
