Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said that he had sleepless nights as he contemplated leaving the IPL to be with his family as they battled covid-19 infections. Ashwin had left IPL midway as almost everyone in his family got infected with Covid-19 as the competition was eventually suspended after multiples cases were reported in its bio-bubble. In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Ashwin said that he couldn't sleep for 8-9 days as some of his cousins were admitted to hospital and were serious. Ashwin added that when he left, he had thoughts about whether he will be able to play cricket again or not. The Delhi Capitals' spinner is currently in a 14-day quarantine with the Indian team ahead of their England tour where they play the World Test Championship final and a 5-Test series vs England.
