Apple launches iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini with smaller notch

Apple has launched the new iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini smartphones.

The iPhone 13 gets a 6.1-inch screen, while the iPhone 13 mini features a 5.4-inch display. Both get a Super Retina XDR display with a 20% smaller notch and 800 nits of peak brightness.

They also maintain the IP68 rating, along with the ceramic shield front coating. The phones are powered by the new 6-core 5nm A15 bionic chipset, along with a 4-core GPU.

For optics, the iPhone 13 and 13 mini get a new 12MP main rear camera that captures 47% more light, along with a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The new Cinematic video mode supports rack focus, and can shift focus on objects in frame automatically. There is also a 12MP front camera.

Both phones get 128GB of storage as the base option, and can be configured up to 512GB storage.

In India, prices for the iPhone 13 start from ₹79,900, while the iPhone 13 mini starts from ₹69,900. Pre-orders for the devices will be open from September 17, and they will go on sale starting September 24.
