Anti-malarial drug: US controller warns of side-effects

The US Food and Drug Administration has issued a safety communication regarding the known side effects of anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine. The drug has been touted by President Donald Trump for treating coronavirus patients. The side effects include serious and potentially life-threatening heart rhythm problems. The US has imported millions of units of the anti-malarial drug from India after the Covid-19 outbreak.
