An initiative, called Andari Illu or 'Open House' is gaining popularity in Hyderabad.

Anyone, irrespective of caste or creed can walk into the house, cook food, read books or simply take rest. The house for all is located at Kothapet and is the brainchild of physician couple Dr. Surya Prakash Vinjamuri and his wife.

The two have been actively working to address issues related to hunger and women's health. Anyone is free to use the facility, which is filled with vegetables and rice and has a gas stove and utensils among other things.
