Ambani acquires UK's iconic country club Stoke Park

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani, through an international unit of Reliance industry, has acquired Stoke Park, Britain’s first County Club for $79 million or about ₹600 crore. 

The acquisition will help RIL build its portfolio of consumer and hospitality business.

The iconic hospitality centre comprises a hotel, conference facilities, sports facilities and one of the highest-rated golf courses in Europe. Stoke Parks has been the location of many iconic films such as Tomorrow Never Dies, Layer Cake, Bridget Jones Diary. Two James Bond films and Netflix’s 'The Crown' were shot here.
