A new study published in the journal Science Advances states that we could loose almost 550 species of mammals in this century.
Every species lost, also takes a part of the Earth's natural history along with it. Experts however believe this trend could be reversed by stepping up conservation efforts. The research insists on increasing collective awareness about the "looming escalation of the biodiversity crisis".
