Air quality severe, panel mulls ban on plying private cars

The Environmental pollution control authority says private cars could be stopped from plying in Delhi if the pollution level worsens in the National Capital region. With unabated burning in neighbouring states, the pollution control body says that 17 areas of the national capital recorded have severe air quality. The pollution levels are likely to surge from the beginning of November.
