'Agnipariksha': Mom-in-law burns woman's hands

A woman in Mathura has allleged that her mother-in-law burnt her hans after accusing her of adultery. The woman alleged that her inlaws asked her to take agnipariksha over the adultery charge on the advice of a local tantrik. The mother in law allegedly put a burning log of firewood on the woman's palms. She also alleged that her in-laws used to beat her and harass her for dowry.
