Under fire for blocking media access to Hathras, the UP administration on Saturday caved in and opened the gangrape and murder victim's village for the media. SDM Prem Prakash said that the SIT probe in the village is complete and hence the restriction on media has been lifted. He added that more than 5 media persons won't be allowed to gather as Section 144 of CrPC is in place. The administration still has not clarified on political delegations. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has said that he will visit today. The SDM also denied allegations that the victim's family members were under house arrest and their phones were taken away.
